It happens to all of us in life. We lose motivation or desire.
It could be anything that puts us in a mood to where we don’t want to do what we know we should do whether it be getting in shape or working on our marketing. It happens to me as well.
Since October 29, 2012, I changed my diet and I go to the gym three times a week at…get ready…5:30am M-W-F. I haven’t missed a day since I started. Because of this, I have lost 34lbs so far with a ways to go.
During this time, there was a week and a half where I was just jacked up. I could not get motivated to eat right. It was weird. I had been eating healthy for over a month and then BOOM, out of nowhere, I started eating like crap and craving sugar.
I could of quit but I didn’t. I called some people for help and kept visualizing my goal. One day it came back and I have been on track since. It’s just life.
I am writing this post for myself as much as for other Nashpreneurs who are in the trenches growing their business. I wanted to have a place where I can find motivation on my bad days and hopefully you can too.
Below, you will find several ways that help me stockpile motivation for my bad days. Its great to have different a variety of audio, video, and text sources. All it takes is one spark to get you back in the game.
I encourage you to visit this post often for motivation or create your own place. Also, one great way to get a spark of energy is to inspire others. If you know someone who could benefit from this post, don’t keep it from them. Share it and take note of how good you feel doing it.

“The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which.
He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he’s always doing both. ” - attributed to James A. Michener
”It is never too late to be what you might have been” - George Eliot
“You can have anything you want if you are willing to give up the belief that you can’t have it.” - Robert Anthony
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”– Aristotle
“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds”. – Albert Einstein
”I know for sure that what we dwell on is who we become.” – Oprah Winfrey
“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan
“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
“You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar
